Charles Docherty

Mr. Docherty completed his undergraduate degrees – BA and LLB, at the University of Ottawa, and later obtained a Master’s degree in Banking and Financial Services Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.  His primary responsibilities as Assistant General Counsel at the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) include cyber-security, legal analysis and negotiation and drafting of agreements.  His areas of focus include financial services regulation with emphasis on Bank Act, litigation (including interventions on behalf of the banking industry), privacy, and constitutional issues.
