Jagmeet Cheema is a highly motivated business and Information Technology leader, recently started working as the Data Analytics Lead with the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), Alberta. Prior to OAG, she was part of the Analytics Centre of Excellence (ACE) at Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS), she provided services to all internal and external stakeholders. Her career focus has been on delivering excellent client service, building strong relationships, leveraging data analytics and always working towards her careers goals by living her core values of integrity, honesty, respect, empathy and compassion.

Jagmeet worked in both the private and public sectors throughout her career and developed skills in the areas of Information Technology, Business, Project Management, Customer Service, and Data Analytics. She has presented at Global Benchmarking CEM in 2019 and shared her experience and passion in Data, Business Intelligence and Analytics. With over 12 years experience in the field, she has focused on providing clients with data analytics solutions through the art of possible and enabled decision-making using facts.

Abid Siddiqui is a seasoned and experienced IT professional, currently working with the Correctional Service of Canada with the PeopleSoft application. He started his IT career as an application developer with a leading financial institution and became familiar with different technologies and platforms such as IBM Mainframe AS / 400, P-Series, Oracle, Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows Servers. During his work he delivered several IT solutions and became a core asset of the bank. He also works with ERP solution such as Oracle EBS Suite of Financial Applications and performs project management of SAP Financial from planning to delivery. He served the bank for over 20 years and hold several positions such as Manager – Application Development, Project Manager, Manager – IT operations and Regional Manager- IT.

In addition to that, he also works with the Department of National Defense, the Bank of Canada, IRCC and the Canada Revenue Agency and contributed to accelerate business activities and performance.

He is ambitious in learning, recently graduated with a Masters in Electronic Business Technology from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and has become familiar with the latest global technology trends, especially in data science, big data, cloud technologies, and business intelligence. In addition to this, he also holds a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management Information System and a master’s degree in Applied Physics with a specialization in electronics.

Julie has two decades of experience with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, having started her service in 1998, and beginning her career as an Intelligence Analyst in 2002. Julie has been involved in criminal investigations that include serial murder, missing persons, and organized crime on both strategic and tactical level. She is also experienced in the delivery of services to the private sector, including critical thinking and investigative techniques, corporate intelligence, brand protection, and online reputation management.While working towards her PhD, Julie taught Criminology and Sociology at the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba.  She has also taught Tactical Intelligence Analysis and Strategic Intelligence Analysis at the Canadian Police College, and has delivered Operational Intelligence Analysis training in South Asia on behalf of the Canadian Government.

Among other commendations, Julie has been awarded the Intelligence Program Professional Service Award for her contributions to the national intelligence program in the RCMP, and is a regular guest speaker at numerous private and public sector conferences throughout North America. With Toddington International, Julie develops and facilitates Open Source Intelligence and Social Media Intelligence training courses for a wide range of agencies.

David’s career spans over 40 years in both the private and public sector in Canada and Europe.  During that time, he has held positions as silviculturist, business/performance planner/manager, communications consultant, business intelligence expert, lecturer and corporate trainer in negotiations and finance.

Throughout his career the common theme is teaching organizations and people how to effectively use (digital) data.  This holds true whether it was in the wilds of Canada dealing with complex multi-stakeholder land-use projects or to the wilds of the corporate boardrooms in Frankfurt teaching techniques for effective communication, negotiations, and investment banking.   Effective decision-making relies on credible and accessible data regardless of the industry or stakeholder group.  And people that have the necessary digital data competencies.

Over the years he has been a hands-on practitioner of many of the well-known business intelligence systems and has produced award-winning solutions.    His current focus is on the Microsoft product, Power BI.  While technology has changed over the decades, people have not.

David is currently employed in the public sector in British Columbia and is co-chair of the business intelligence community in the BC government.  He teaches Excel skills online and is an active member of the global Power BI user group.

David holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia in forest management, Master’s degree in resource ethics from Queens and a certificate from the Goethe Institute.  He is a registered professional Forester in BC: RFP(ret.)  In addition, he has multiple certificates from Microsoft related to business intelligence.
