Bill Carroll is a DAMA CDMP and has worked with 20+ organizations, in seven different industry verticals, in four countries, and on two continents. He has started two comprehensive EIM (Enterprise Information Management) practices from scratch, worked on 14 DW/BI projects, prepared designs for three MDM initiatives, worked as a Data Architect & Modeler in multiple organizations, has DBA experience with four DBMS, written programs in six languages on four OS platforms, worked in a data center at the beginning of his career, and started writing programs in high school. Bill is learning to play bass guitar.

Andrew Geider has extensive Records Management experience in both public and private sectors. I have a MAS (Master of Archival Studies) and CRM (Certified Records Manager). I share my knowledge with peers at ARMA and AIIM Conferences and also teach three levels of Records Management at Vancouver Community College and previously at University of the Fraser Valley. I am currently Past President on the ARMA Vancouver Board and a mentor for ARMA and Toastmasters novices. I have developed change management strategies for the planning and implementation of electronic records management systems. I am currently on the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team implementing an ECM solution for the City of Burnaby. As the Freedom of Information Officer, I interpreted the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and have demonstrated how Records Management and Freedom of Information can complement each other. I am passionate about protecting people’;s privacy and write Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) to ensure local governments are not over-reaching in their gathering of personal information. I am a candidate for the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) Certificate.

Mike loves using data to make services better. After all, a huge part of service delivery is the transmission of data and information back and forth between the public sector and citizens. Well-governed data helps us deliver services so much more quickly and with certainty. Mike has worked for 6 years with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat helping to improve data-driven service delivery, most recently building data standards for the GC. However in his heart he’s back at Transport Canada, compiling quarterly marine safety inspection reports using a sequence of increasingly complex spreadsheets.

She currently leads Prosperity Global Services, a specialized Data and AI management consulting and advisory firm. As a member of the ISED Economic Strategy – Digital Industries Table, Mai led the sub group that developed national data strategy and IP recommendations. She has also represented Canada at the G7 ministerial meetings on AI and the future of work. Mai has advised on the Ontario Digital and Data Task Force as well as co-chaired a Data Governance initiative with the Standards Council of Canada. Mai is a licensed professional engineer, an executive leader and a serial entrepreneur. Mai is a graduate of the University of Toronto and a Senior Fellow at the think tank – Centre for International Governance and Innovation (CIGI). She is also a professional speaker on technology and innovation.

Gabby Noble is a Policy Analyst within the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Gabby is passionate about leveraging information and data to enhance the design and delivery of policies, programs as services across the Government of Canada. Most recently, she led the adaptation and publication of the Government of Canada’s Guidance on Data Quality published in January 2024. Gabby holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University.

Crystal Sewards recently retired from full-time work for the Canadian Federal Government after 32 years of service. Crystal is currently working part-time as the strategic advisor to the Office of the Chief Data Officer at Statistics Canada. Crystal holds an honours Degree in Human Geography, with a specialization in economics, statistics and geospatial analysis. Crystal gained expertise in data governance, data stewardship and data strategies over her career in the Public Service.
