Matthew Hough is the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario. He is an experienced public-sector executive with a career spanning municipal, territorial, and federal government leadership roles across Canada, including significant work in northern and remote communities.

Matthew has led multidisciplinary teams responsible for infrastructure, public works, emergency management, capital planning, governance, and organizational transformation. Prior to joining the City of Elliot Lake, he served in senior leadership positions with the Government of Nunavut and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Matthew is passionate about building strong public institutions, supporting collaborative workplace cultures, and helping organizations navigate change with clarity, professionalism, and trust.
